Yes, I have a story like that. True, it was not a real dinosaur, but an exhibit, but still.
Remember when I said I saw rats? A few, but I've seen rats. Well, among those rats, I have a friend. Surprising, isn't it? And this friend works in a real museum. And her name is Glafira Stepanovna. The owner, the museum keeper, Stepan Ivanovich, called her that. I just call her Stepanovna. Stepanovna is a very clever rat. She knows more about the exhibits of her museum than is written in the encyclopedia, and certainly more than people. By the way, this museum is a paleontological museum. Uh, I think I got the name right. And recently a very unusual thing happened in this museum.
***
It all started with news: our city museum was to bring the skeleton of some very rare dinosaur... I beg your pardon, I forgot what it was called. Mayungasaurus, that's it. Of course, even I know that museum exhibits are not made of real bones, but it's still cool, because many people haven't even heard of such a dinosaur. But, a few days before the exhibit opened, the news said it was canceled. The reason was very unusual: one of the dinosaur bones had been stolen. But who did it? And more importantly, why? They're not even edible!
- I had to get in touch with Stepanovna immediately, I thought. But when I went outside, I found Stepanovna outside my house. It turned out that she had been given a "ride" by everyone who could, until she ended up here. Stepanovna confirmed that it was exactly like that: the tibia of the dinosaur Mayungasaurus was missing.
- I need your help - Stepanovna finally exhaled.
- But you realize how difficult it is: first, you and I have to get to the museum, and second, to get to the place where the dinosaur bones are kept. And we have to do it all in the daytime, otherwise I'll know where to go, but I won't find the thief anyway.
- I don't see any problems here at all. Not a single one, Stepanovna said. - I know where the bones are, and I'll show you everything.
- How do you get there? - I asked.
- Ha!" Stepanovna shouted, and in a second she was... on my back. There was nothing left for me to do, and we ran to the museum.
Stepanovna once again did not deceive my expectations: she really knew the museum like no one else. We quickly snuck over to where the bones were (and no one noticed us), I studied the dinosaur skeleton, and as usual, I understood everything. We didn't even have to run far, across the street from the museum we caught a hilarious picture: a furry, white, terrier-like dog lying on the ground and licking...our bone! We approached the dog (whose name, as it turned out, was Zhuza) and explained what was wrong. Zhuzha said that the owner had brought her this bone and added:
- Take it, especially if it's from a museum. It smells weird anyway.
And Stepanovna and I ran back.
You should have seen the face of Stepanovna's owner, who saw a cat running towards the museum, with a rat on its back and a huge bone in its teeth! It must have been a hilarious sight.

In other news. A Mayungosaurus fibula missing from a museum was found among the other bones in the exhibit. There was no explanation for the disappearance.
Yes, yes, you heard our story. Stepanovna's owner turned out to be a smart guy and decided not to make a fuss about the find. I love people like that!
