In one village there lived a girl named Mila. She had a grandmother who had a big and beautiful flower garden. Mila loved it very much, and often even helped her grandmother in the garden. But one day a very strange story happened....
That morning, Grandma told Mila:
- My flowers are starting to look a little strange. Maybe it's the wrong seeds.
- What happened? - Mila asked.
- Here, look," said her grandmother and showed her the flowers. And then Mila realized what was wrong: all the flowers in the garden were white. Not only the new ones, but even the ones that her grandmother had planted long ago. They had lost their color! And then Mila saw a strange white arc in the sky.
- Grandma, look! What is it? - she asked.
- It looks like a rainbow," Grandma said thoughtfully, "but I can't understand why it's white. It should be colored.
- Well, maybe it was bewitched? Or someone stole the colors from the rainbow, so it turned white? - Mila thought, and suddenly said, "I'll go to the other end of the rainbow and find out where the colors went!
Mila packed her backpack and set off. She didn't know how long she would have to go, but she knew for sure that only she could bring back the rainbow of colors. Walking along the road Mila noticed two things: first, she was convinced that not only her grandmother's flowers had lost color, and in addition it turned out that not only flowers, but even...apples had become white! Yes, yes, Milina's favorite apples. They used to be red, but now they were white! Other fruits and berries were also starting to lose color.
- Let's find this hooligan as soon as possible! He thought of stealing colors! - Mila thought and walked faster down the road.
Mila did reach the other end of the rainbow. There was a waterfall near a house with a large cauldron in the yard. A small, shaggy-haired girl, no older than Mila, was standing near the cauldron, boiling something. Mila looked more closely and saw that the other end of the rainbow went straight into the cauldron.
- What are you doing!!! - She screamed at the top of her voice - You're going to boil a rainbow!!!!
The little sorceress looked around and saw that the leaves on the trees had already begun to lose their color. She saw what she had done and started to cry:
- Oh, what have I done? Mom, Dad! Grandma!
As soon as she screamed, the whole family appeared beside her, and her grandmother asked:
- Calm down, Nori! What else did you do?
- I wanted to make my flowers bright, but now all the other plants have lost their color, and even the rainbow has turned white! - Nori answered as she continued to cry.
Seeing the whitened rainbow, Grandma almost turned white herself, and Mila, who felt sorry for the underdog Nori, hurried to intervene.
- Please don't scold Nori! She didn't know this would happen. A white rainbow is even beautiful. If it's not always like this.
- So you know Nori? Are you a friend of hers?
- 'No, I didn't know her before,' Mila replied, 'but I'd like to be friends with her.
Of course, Nori's grandmother brought back all the colors and the colored rainbow. Everyone was very happy about it, and Nori was grateful to Mila for standing up for her. Now Mila and Nori sometimes go to visit each other, and Nori sometimes makes a white or colored rainbow. That's how the white rainbow came to be.
